Marjano (born 1984) and Denis (born 1990) Kapurani are visual artists. They live and work as an artist duo in Larisa, Greece.

They both graduated from the Athens Academy of Fine Arts (ASFA) in 2011 (Marjano Kapurani) and 2014 (Denis Kapurani).
They received much attention through solo exhibitions such as "A comet to bury lovers" at the former Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, "The Stendhal Syndrome" at the Jugendkirche in Munich, curated by Tinatin Ghughunishvili-Brück and in the show "illuminated skeletons and peacocks" at the Annarumma Gallery in Naples, curated by Stavros Kavalaris. Important milestones on their artistic path included participation in the parallel Documenta 14 in Athens and the exhibition "Villa Salvatore" curated by Marina Athanasiadou at the Zina Athanasiadou Gallery in Thessaloniki. Currently, the Kapurani brothers are part of the group exhibition "Bestiary" at Crux Gallery in Athens.

Their works are in collections in Italy, Germany, Great Britain, USA, Singapore, Greece, Qatar, Norway and France, among others.

The brothers Marjano and Denis Kapurani live and work together as an artist duo in Greece, Larisa. Working together in this case is also to be understood literally. There are no separate fields of competence. Everything is created together: from the idea to the realization of the works of art and the choice of the exhibition space. In their almost symbiotic work there is a guiding principle or rather the conviction of the spiritual determination of the visual arts. They feel a strong connection to Christian pictorial tradition and values, believe in the power of symbols and celebrate their intertextuality.
They regard their creative process as something sacred and contemplative, a task for which they prepare themselves with great effort and have less to do with the "self-realization" of the artist and with the ego of the individual. They consider themselves a medium and vehicle, the transcendental, to represent something possible outside themselves and not, as in the tradition of modernity, to find out "the truth" about themselves.
"Our art does not pursue personal goals, but serves the common good, " that's the Kapurani Brothers' statement. This almost monastic attitude and devotion to art reminds us of the artists who, by order of the church, have performed wonders even beyond the mere commissioned art and who have followed their purpose with passion.
This position is in absolute contrast to the position of contemporary art, even modern art, which is characterized by autonomy and individualism. The Kapurani Brothers' involvement with art polarizes and impresses at the same time with the consistency of their actions and their mastery of both the traditional techniques of panel painting and the use of various media and the newest technical possibilities.
